Santa Monica Fooooood

So, as some as you may or may not know, I am currently residing in Santa Monica. My days usually start with practice or end with practice. Or class. In my free time, I like to eat. But the thing is, I don't have a job, so when I do eat out, I make sure it is super duper good. I'm a yelp-o-Holic. I love yelp. I scroll on their news feed sometimes when I'm super bored. Betcha didn't know they have a live news feed. Anyways, I get sick of frozen chicken with ketchup for every meal. So when I eat out, I EAT. I want it to be amazing. If I was able to eat unhealthy, trust me I would. I would go to mcdonalds or del taco and order up chili cheese fries. But I run and it kinda sorta destines my future with school and all, so I don't eat unhealthy all the time. Key word, all the time.  Trust me. This girl can eat. Ask my friends. Or my parents. I just balance. Kinda.

My favorite two places for healthy food discoveries in Santa Monica are Kyes Montana and California Monster Salads.

Kyes is super good, super trendy and up to date with health trends, buttttt it's pretty pricey. I ordered a black bean brownie and a key-rito for just under 20$. It seems like every decently healthy meal out in LA is around 20$. Bleh. It sucks. But that's why I eat my frozen chicken and granola bars at home to balance.    I would go here three times a week if I could! Their "burritos" are constructed using seaweed and rice with many different filling options, such as salmon, checken, veggies, etc.

California Monster Salads is soooo good I don't think it's that poplar though because they lack a "trendy" atmosphere. Which is stupid. Because the salads are mad big and they give free lemonade samples. The owner is super nice, and simply wants the saladsade quickly and the customers to be happy! If your looking for a ginormous salad with tons of cool stuff in it- I highly recommend this place.
