Anyways, let's review what to pack- for Coachella, or any music festival. I was dumb enough not to bring any clothes besides what i laid out on my bed and decided was cute. So all I ended up with, two hours away from home and a closet full of clothes, was crop tops and jean shorts. Big mistake. Pack comfy clothes like oversized tee shirts for the next day. Bring more than one. You do not want to feel gross, you want to feel clean and comfy! Also bring a cute/warm jacket for night! It gets cold! If you can manage to find something that is warm, light, and cute, then you win. Bring that. Also being as many accessories and jewelry as you can get your hands on. There is no such thing as over accessorizing at a music festival. When else are you going to be able to wear your favorite hat, anklet, rings, bracelets, necklace and sunglasses all at once? Never! Well, I hope you don't. I really really don't advise it. Also, DONT PACK EXPENSIVE SUNGLASSES. YOU WILL LOSE THEM. I lost two pairs. But, good thing they were $15 dollars a piece opposed to the $300 pair my friend lost. #coachellaatemysunglasses. Also pack some good body wash. You are going to get pretty darn dirty. And when I say dirty I mean it. Actual dirt. On your feet, on your clothes, everywhere. Between the sitting and walking, you need to shower. So please don't camp. Get a hotel, with a good shower, and use it. As fun as camping sounds, it only sounds fun if your not at the festival, otherwise, I've heard it's miserable. Save your time and pay fifty dollars more for a hotel room. Trust me. You want a place to go back to after a long day that isn't dirty and doesn't involve sleeping on the ground.
I ain't gonna say too much about the rest, but I'm going to admit that I am extremely happy I waited til after high school to go. It's like waiting until your 21 for your first drink. It was totally worth the wait. This was my first music festival and it was So much more fun than what people capture it on Instagram as. I had previously thought of it as a place where people where lace and sunglasses and sit on blankets under the sun and "vibe". Whatever that means. But no! It was the opposite! It was dancing and jumping and eating and laughing and screaming! Just have fun and be safe.!
