How to look more like a stereotypical California beach girl than you actually are

So I am tan. I look kind of like a "Cali Girl". At least I think I do.. and how sooooo???

Some clothing essentials are: Jean shorts, sandals, and a white top .... and some super trendy sunglasses(no, not Ray Bans, think Quay). But you gotta be tan. Maybe a nixon watch? Heck, Michael Kors? or are we over Michael Kors? I think Michaels Kors was cool like 3 years ago.. These are essentials. I have learned. Im going to say no to Jack Rodgers. Your sandals are probably rainbows. Rainbows never go out of style and can last up to 20 years. Remember, you are getting this advice from someone who really isn't one, I just think I am. I run. Yes, I do get a little sun. I am not naturally white. I get freckles, etc, but I do fake tanning creams because I love the feeling of feeling tan ! ^.o

My secret? Xen Tan ! This is a tanning spray I got at Nordstrom! The best part- it has an olive tint, not orange. So if your face gets red, like mine, you are in great hands. This stuff will change your life. Another essential is fake tanning mousse from CVS for your body. Skip the St. tropez. This stuff works perfectly great.  Being tan brings many benefits that are far overlooked. 1.) It brings the boys.  2.)Makes your teeth look white 3.)makes you appear/feel skinnier/enhances appearance of abs 4. ) It's just great okay 5.) prevents skin cancer instead of laying out for hours.

Trust me, if I didn't care about my skin, I would simply not wear sunscreen, lay out, dry my skin out, and get old and wrinkly by the  age of 21. But I don't know if that sounds too fun.

So fake tan is cool. As lame as it may "seem" to talk about, I'm just being brutally blunt. Why get a costly fake, gross, orange, spray tan for prom when you can be tan everyday and customize your glow? SO many girls spend HOURS laying out absolutely miserable BAKING in the sun. That sounds terrible!! They may say they "love the sun", but trust me. Its to look good. Yah, laying out may be fun for like an hour, tops, but its not. Home applied faux glows are cheap, fast, and life saving. Literally. Prevents the chance of skin cancer. Plus, your skins won't get dried out. Many fake tanners have vitamins and moisturizers blended in.

Last step to the appearance? Hair and make up. Make up is simple. I like to use a primer, eyeliner, mascara, and bronzer. This is all you need. I really like the Anastasia Beverley Hills Contour Pallette because it comes with 3 great shades to bronze with. Hair can be bad if you make it bad. Rule one: if you ever want highlights or blonde hair in your life,  don't ever dye your hair red. (like I did) Once you go red, it is incredibly hard to remove the red pigment. My hair is ridiculously over dyed, so I used Olaplex to achieved the perfect ombre-ish look, without the damage. If you already dye your hair, and your hairstylist is simply using bleach, get a new stylist. Olaplex rebuilds bonds in your hair without damaging them.

I think these are the main essentials for appearing to look some what like a "stereotypical Cali girl". If not, well, you just waisted your time, and you know all of my biggest deepest darkest tanning secrets.
